This is the most popular stanchion type. It always stays tight because the steel spring in the tape
cassette housing keeps it tight. Commonly used two stanchion sizes: normal and XL. The normal
stanchion is using 2.4 meter long tape. While the XL version, is coming with 4,8 meter long tape in
it. Our tape cassettes that we are selling and manufacturing are equipped with high quality steel
springs.

The main field of application of stanchions are the use for industrial purposes, routing,
separation, and the provision of safety functions. For industrial and outdoor use, it is worth
choosing almost exclusively tape XL cordon columns.
It is not advisable to use mirror polished chrome poles because they are elegant but fragile. The
optimal choice for factories, work areas and warehouses is the yellow coloured stanchion with a
yellow-black hatched 5-meter tape cassette. An other frequently used solution is the wall-mounted
cordon, which also saves money since you don’t have to buy the pole, these kind of tape’s length can
be extended up to 5 meters in this case as well.
An alternative is the red stanchion with red white hatched ribbon. The powder-coated black cordon
column with yellow-black hatched belt is also popular in Hungary. We do not really recommend any
other type for factory industrial environments. The XL stanchion has a separate heavyweight base so
they stay stable in any kind of usage.
Stanchions are useful if you want to indicate to guests how long the part of the place reserved for them
lasts, or they can also be useful if you are holding a private event or a area is temporarily closed.
